Starfish Sucking on My Nose: The Musical
A few days ago, So-Called Bill posted a comment saying "I'll pay you five dollars to write a song called 'Starfish Sucking on My Nose.'"
Well. Never let it be said that I won't write a song called "Starfish Sucking on My Nose" for five dollars.

Well, congratulations, you're now the most highly paid writer of songs about sea creatures that I know. By my calculations, five bucks for 24 seconds comes out to $750/hr.
Posted by: So-Called Bill at April 14, 2006 10:45 AMparents of a certain era know you are wrong, terribly wrong (although we wish don vortex the best; he's sea-creaturiffic).
but where saltwater and song convert to cash, i believe you'll find raffi, counting his millions.
not that it matters. at all....go cecil!
Posted by: e. at April 16, 2006 7:15 AMNow that I think about it, Paul probably wrote "Octopus's Garden" while he was on the john (so to speak), and it's made millions.
I think that was a Paul song...please, please tell me that it was.

OH. MY. GOD.
"starfish sucking on my nose" is THE BEST SONG I HAVE EVER HEARD IN MY LIFE.
I love you and I love your work. YOU are hilarious. I mean... Brilliant.
Posted by: Ewewsh Ewenew at April 21, 2006 2:47 PMWow! Lot's of fun, and by overdubbing you were able to be both Flansburgh AND Linnell! Now all we need to do is write a TV show called "Cuttlefish in the Middle" and get this on as the theme song.
Excellent. I loved it.
