I Saw It
That tree at night is so beautiful.
I saw it. I saw the beauty.
I claim this vision with my
artist's eye. My eye so
true you crave to see
the beauty I see. You pose
and claim you saw it too.
You didn't see it.
I love the phrase 'I claim this vision with my artist's eye' - now that's beautiful... and original too!
Posted by: Opaleye at January 18, 2007 7:39 AMAlright, you saw it, i didn't, now give me that saw and the rootbeer on the stump...
Posted by: heroic imp at January 19, 2007 7:37 AMhaha--hey, heroic imp, as long as you're cutting to the heart of things, there's a big stack of boxes upstairs that wants to be knocked over.
Posted by: e. at January 19, 2007 7:52 AMBut I saw you seeing it, and I therefore claim your vision with my observer's eye.
And your little dog too.
Posted by: So-Called Bill at January 19, 2007 8:29 AMDammit! And I was trying so hard to be a ninja artist --
stand between stalks of grass, bend my body to wrap around a breeze.
I think it was the clanky keys that gave me a way.
Or mebbe the little dog.

Posted by: heroic imp at January 19, 2007 3:57 PMYes. I saw it, too. I really did. Will send you a poem by Judson Jerome about what I didn't see, and neither did you.
