My One-Word Review of My Prediction that Albert Brooks and Seth Rogen Will Be Cast as Father/Son Within the Next 18 Months
Intriguing.
OK, but that's an easy call. Here's a hard one: who will be cast as the mom?

evidence that seth is not pulling a tom hanks (ie, from silly to substantive), seth is further expanding his acting chops with 'Zack and Miri Make a Porno,' due out in 2008.
how can i be seth?
Posted by: Itto Ogami at August 28, 2007 7:52 AMBut Albert and Seth are the same person at different ages.
And, as for the casting of mom, I wonder, what do their real moms look like?
Other possibilities:
We can cross off Ann Bancroft, but how about Beth Midler, Julie Newmar, and, you know, that actress who can be anybody, Sophie, a river runner, an orchid freak...
I'm having a marijuana moment here, help me out,
she's like Yale drama school, has an armload of oscars...
Posted by: thom at December 9, 2007 10:05 AMHey Thom,
I think that's Dame Merle Streep you have in mind. Star of "Defending Your Life" no less..... A casting slam dunk. Unless Julie Kavner was available.

Is Valerie Harper still alive?
Posted by: So-Called Bill at December 13, 2007 1:20 PMI think she's immortal, which is while she's often called "Valerie Harper, everlasting."

What if we dress up Jeff Garland as the mom?
