Big letters in the window of a used car shop in Northern California

"75 years, same coffee."

Don't trust fancy coffee drinkers, they're saying.
Or at least, do trust people who are constant
-- fixed, unflinching
with scorched taste buds.

Give your money to the folks who say
Go to hell, cappuccino. Go to damn hell, double latte.

Buy this car?

Our coffee is pre-9/11. Pre-boom and bust. Pre-velcro.
We're drinking the coffee
the greatest generation drank
when they were nine.

What's it going to take?

What's it going to take
to get you into
this coffee cup?

What do you think?

either send the elderly to war or drink their 75 year old coffee. you can't have it either way.

Do they mean the same kind of coffee, or the same pot? Cause that would be a record.

I'm guessing they meant the same exact coffee and they just brewed a really big pot 75 years ago and they don't like to waste.

I wonder if I got this all wrong and it was a cry for help? I should have walked in and given them some new coffee.
