Bodies fly 
           close
                overhead
glittering geese eyes
turning my body to track
invisible, lovely 
                        dark 
                                          honk.

gary gygax, dungeons & dragons creator, died today.

cec and i played d&d, and even though the dungeon master allowed cec's (recently turned) lawful evil knight to kill (actually stab in the back) my 6th level (and beloved) ranger, without rolling for surprise mind you, i'm almost over that, and would like to say, gary, thanks for d&d. it rocked.

but, cec, you violated the rules and owe me one beloved ranger. you, you back stabbing lawful evil knight -- i hope you're enjoying your new job as W's policy adviser.
